4. A crazy chain mime where everyone participates
You may have already come across Arthur’s famous “Friday Everything is Permitted” game on TF1.
The principle of Chain Mime is very simple but terribly funny to achieve. The players are placed in single file, with their backs to the first player to start the game. This mimics in the first person in line (who obviously turns around to look) an expression or a saying (“putting your feet in the dish”, “who sleeps dines”, “put the cart before the horse… “)
There follows a succession of mimes, each time to the next person, to convey the initial expression. The last player announces out loud the saying he thinks he has guessed… very often completely OFF TOPIC! It is of course possible to vary the themes throughout the game, and embark on film titles, scenes of daily life, celebrities…

5. The virtual New Year’s Eve maxi-quiz
Before wishing each other a happy new year 2022 full of success and happiness, how about a quiz to measure your knowledge against that of your friends? With Knowledge is Power, you are sure to have fun! To play it, you will need a PS4 console, the game you can download from the PlayStation ™ Store, and your smartphones which you use as controllers.
You will then answer the questions posed by the game as quickly as possible and in the many themes available, while having the possibility of putting the sticks in the wheels of your opponents to delay them. 6. A cocktail workshop with or without alcohol (in moderation of course!)
“What can I get you to drink?” Change for once from the traditional beers, champagne, sodas or other iced teas and put your guests to work. Through a mixology workshop, or the art of mixing drinks and creating cocktails, surprise your friends and bet on originality.
For this, plan some cocktail recipes beforehand, with the necessary ingredients and the appropriate glasses. No need to rob the wine and spirits section of your supermarket, 3 or 4 recipes are already sufficient. You can obviously bet on recipes with and without alcohol, to satisfy everyone’s desires.
A few suggestions among many others: Christmas rum with fir tree , champagne cocktail with red fruits , royal mojito with champagne and passion fruit , hot cranberry punch , cocktail with fruity orgeat syrup (without alcohol), virgin mojito (classic but effective)

7. The New Year’s Eve blind test
Traditional and timeless for all generations, it is the ultimate festive entertainment! You can find many themes on Youtube (80s, 2000s, French songs, music from series and films…), or decide on the music yourself. Compose two teams of (roughly) equal level and compete in a frenzied show. Vary the themes to allow as many people as possible to participate, without forgetting the youngest who will quickly get caught up in the game (beware of the clash of generations, the effect of aging guaranteed!)
To enhance the game, you can provide several buzzers (at least 1 per team), which will facilitate the referee’s decision-making. Small preference for the big red button buzzers, it almost feels like watching TV! Do not hesitate to add pledges for the losers or bonuses for the fastest (Burddy declines all responsibility in the event of conflicts between the guests) What is good with this game (for the atmosphere in all case, less for your ears), is that it often turns into karaoke. An ideal musical entertainment for revising your classics!

The objective: to make guess a music thanks to its air… but the words of another song. Imagine a little guessing “Petite Marie” by Francis Cabrel, on the words of Jul. For this, plan a whole set of titles with a known melody to hum, as well as a second list of titles for the lyrics. Each player draws a song from each list, and makes the first guess through its melody and the words of the second. Big nonsense to be expected and perhaps the revelation of a hidden talent for some!

9. The games of true false resolutions
The principle is very simple: each participant enters 3 resolutions on a sheet. Of these, two are true and one is false. The other players will then have to disentangle the true from the false by eliminating the bad proposition. A variation of the game could be to slip one or more resolutions for each person into a large bowl, then guess which one they correspond to. Laughter and bad faith guaranteed!
Another possibility is to make it a mime game. Write down as many resolutions as you can think of, and play Times Up style by forming two teams. For the first round, the person makes their teammates guess the maximum number of resolutions with as many words as they want. Then with a single word for the second round and finally by miming for the last. Be creative!
10. An escape game for champagne!
You all know the principle of escape games, those cooperation games where a team must get out of a room as quickly as possible by solving puzzles. Why not plan a specially revisited version for New Years Eve? This will not be about escaping your home (unless you want to get rid of your guests!), But rather freeing up a key element of the evening: champagne, drinks, party favors and / or accessories for midnight.
Your guests will rush to find the code to unlock the champagne!
Plan a crate or a box large enough to contain all your secret items, and above all do not reveal its contents to increase the suspense. Lock it with a preferred code padlock, and prepare several puzzles or missions for your friends to complete throughout the evening, allowing them to discover the final combination before midnight. Don’t be too mean if your friends suck, and help them in their quest! The clock is ticking …
11. The Ultimate Blowgun Battle
Notice to household maniacs, we do not recommend this game (unless you like to sweep or vacuum!) The rules are simple: two teams and as many blowpipes as there are players, with a sufficient quantity small balls. Each team has a large enough container, but not too large either to make the task easy. The two teams each stand at the end of a table, their container placed in front of them.
At the start, the blowgun battle starts for a defined duration: 2, 3, 5 minutes… it’s up to you. Just plan enough ammunition not to be stranded. The objective is to fill the container of the opposing team with as many balls as possible and within the allotted time. Forbidden to block access, only your blowpipes will allow you to defend yourself. You will therefore have to prevent opponents from scoring points, while trying on your side to score as many as possible. We promise you a Cannes (sarba) festival …
